Defining a patient-centered approach to cancer survivorship care: development of the patient centered survivorship care index (PC-SCI)
Patient-centered care in cancer survivorship is a concept that has not been fully developed or translated into clinical practice. Studies suggest that patient-centered care can enhance quality of care and improve clinical outcomes. Providing quality post-treatment care is critical for the long-term health and well-being of survivors. The PC-SCI defines a patient-centered approach to survivorship care to complement clinical practice guidelines.
