Professional Identity Crisis in the Integrated Care Era

This poster reviews and summarize literature on the history of counseling psycology in integrated health care. Next, it will make a case for the necessity of including counseling psychologists´ meaningful contribution to integrated care. Then, using counseling psychology literature, it will demonstrate how integrated health care is consistent with our professional identity as counseling psychologists should be mindful while in the integrated care settings.

Highlights from ICIC19 in San Sebastian

The 19th International Conference on Integrated Care took place from 1-3 April 2019 in San Sebastian and was attended by 1400 delegates representing 60 countries.

With the overarching theme ‘Evaluating and implement models of integrated people-centred services’, the conference is a partnership of OSAKIDETZA – Basque Health Service, Bioef, Ministry for Health of the Basque Government the City Council of Donostia-San Sebastian and the Provincial Council of Gipuzkoa. The conference brought together researchers, clinicians and managers from around the world who are engaged in the design and delivery of integrated health and social care.

In 1978, a pivotal conference was held in Almaty, Kazakhstan, bringing together health experts and world leaders to commit to health for all. The Declaration of Alma-Ata, endorsed at that conference, formed the foundation for the last 40 years of global primary health care efforts.

26th WONCA Europe Conference

The 26th WONCA Europe Conference, Europe’s Top Conference for General Practitioners, organised by the Dutch College of General Practitioners, will be held virtual on 6-10 July 2021!

The theme of our conference is “Practising Person Centred Care”. We will elaborate on this theme in cohesive sets of plenary presentations, round table sessions and workshops, covering aspects of patient care, research, and education, that will be organised by WONCA Special Interest Groups and WONCA Networks. The cohesive sessions will be built around clinical topics that are linked to non-clinical topics such as cardiovascular risk management and shared decision making, respiratory diseases and health skills, or elderly care and prevention of overdiagnosis. The impact of COVID-19 on GP health and primary care services will also receive ample attention.

EFPC 2021 BERGEN CONFERENCE. Primary and long-term care in the age of changing boundaries: Policy, practice and imagination

The European Forum for Primary Care association is happy to announce its 2021 annual conference with a focus on the future of primary and long-term care. Both have been proved to be crucial if it comes to providing quality of life and healthy life years rather than living longer. In the current changing boundaries, with the COVID crisis as a accelerant of changes, we need to re-think our policies and enhance the practice. Through imagination we can explore different perspectives. Searching for different approaches has, for many years, led us to interesting new techniques in care provision like using art, sports or cooking. The same is valid when we try to teach or convince colleagues the various ways in which they can provide care for patients. A one-direction approach is very limited and will not have the same effect as using a variety of approaches.

1st All-Ireland Conference on Integrated Care “Transforming Health and Social Care across Ireland: Delivering Lifelong People-centred Care”

IFIC Ireland in association with the International Foundation for Integrated Care (IFIC) presents “Transforming Health and Social Care across Ireland: Delivering Lifelong People-centred Care” on Thursday, 10 March 2022 in O’Reilly Hall University College Dublin.

Welcome to the International Conference on Primary Health Care!

The International Institute for Primary Health Care (IPHC-E) in collaboration with the Ethiopian Ministry of Health (MoH-E) and supported by the Johns Hopkins University Bloomberg School of Public Health is thrilled to announce the upcoming conference on PHC. The Conference follows the successful pre-conference that was attended by more than 500 participants from over 80 countries.

This conference is designed to provide our participants with an interactive and engaging experience featuring keynote plenary panels, concurrent workshop sessions, roundtable discussions, lightning paper sessions, a poster and exhibit hall and much more.
